Rationale
Neuropsychology faces 3 major issues when using tests to measure cognitive function.

The first is the vast ethnic and cultural diversity of patients.

The second is that most brief tools have been used to classify persons into impaired or not impaired.

The third is that brief examinations have significant limitations in reliability & validity.

The CANA Test is able to address these in that it is culture-fair, brief, and has good reliability
(r = .77) with excellent sensitivity (94.2%) and specificity (91.4%).

The impairment cutoff score is -1.22 standard deviations or a T-score of 38.
